Spotted Pardalotes are tiny, beautiful birds. I was lucky enough to have a pair of Spotted Pardalotes nesting where I live and drew this after observing them in the garden.

The illustration features two Spotted Pardalotes perched on the branches of the Fagus tree (Nothofagus gunnii), Australia's only winter-deciduous tree, found only in Tasmania.
